There are 3 good golf courses within a 35 kilometre (22 miles) radius of our holidays homes - more about these below. With a further 7 courses within range of 60 kilometres (37 miles) there is something to suit everyone from the novice golfer, right up to professional level.

St.-Jean-de-Monts
The golf course in St.-Jean-de-Monts (18 kilometres/11 miles) is situated near the sea, and due to the sandy well-drained ground, it can be used in all seasons. A number of the 18 holes lie in the pine forest, the fairways of these holes are quiet narrow. From the tee of 9th hole it is, with good weather, possible to see the island l'île de'Yeu. Along the coast the fairways and the greens have the same slopes as the dunes. Furthermore the wind has a firm influence on the game. The level of technical difficulty makes the course much sought after.

Pornic
In Pornic (30 kilometres/18 miles) the golf course lies in the middle of this harbour-village and has from time to time a considerable altitude difference. Holes 2 to 6 lie in the middle of the pine forest. There are a number of water boundaries. The water boundaries at hole 13 and 16 are especially tricky.

Le Fontenelles
Le Fontelles in Saint-Aiguillon-sur-Vie (35 kilometres/22 miles) is a golf course which lies in the middle of the hilly part of the Vendée. With its new water hazards this golf course is a challenge for both the experienced and the novice player.

There are more interesting golf courses within a range of 60 kilometres (37 miles) with as a " piece the resistance" the 14-hole golf course on the island "Belle Ile". The golf course lies on the rocky coast of this island. Hole 2 has got a green into the ocean. Furthermore there is a golf course at a Château, one in a bird sanctuary, and the golf course with highest slope-rating of France (150 for white, average is approx. 113) approximately 50 kilometres (32 miles) away.
